Wonderful Pomegranate Tree — Inland Heat Champion

Wonderful is the pomegranate of juice bars and sunny borders — large red fruit packed with sweet-tart arils, orange-red summer bloom, and true drought toughness once established. Fruit quality peaks in hot inland climates like Calabasas and Thousand Oaks.

• USDA 8–10; hardy near 15°F; ~150 chill hours
• Self-fruitful; mature roughly 6–10 ft in ground (larger if unpruned as shrub)
• September harvest typical in Central CA; similar timing inland SoCal

Plant in fall in the warmest, sunniest spot. Water to establish; then stretch intervals. Train as a multi-trunk shrub or short-trunk tree.
